What We Do For Buyers
We publish a list of businesses publicly for sale on the Isle of Man
We contact appropriate potential buyers registered on our website to inform you about potentially interesting businesses for sale, whether they are publicly listed or being privately marketed.
If we are the marketing agent for the business we will meet with you to share, in confidence, unpublished information about businesses in which you have expressed an interest. If we are listing the business for another advisor acting for the business vendor we will pass your enquiry on to that advisor.
If we are the marketing agent for the business under discussion we will repect your privacy and we will not disclose your identity to business vendors unless you ask us to. Similarly we will will not identify the business under discussion unless you are prepared to reveal your interest to the vendor.
If you decide to proceed further with an enquiry and engage with the vendor of the business we will facilitate the due diligence process and negotiations.
What We Do for Sellers
We operate a business listings service website for the Isle of Man.
We keep mailing lists of potential buyers for different types of businesses.
We may promote your business through any of our website, our mailing lists, and direct approach to possible purchasers as appropriate. You do not have to have your business listed on our website, we can market your business discreetly and confidentially, but by listing your business on our website we may attract potential buyers unknown to you and us.
We can assist you in establishing and maximising the value of your business.
We can represent you in negotiations and due diligence processes, enabling you to keep focused on running and developing your business up to the moment it is sold.
We can help you sell all or part of your business.
We can help you find potential investors & partners to join your business.
We can assist you when you are engaged in a private sale, whether to existing management in the business or to external buyers who you have found or been approached by.
We do not provide property valuations. If part of the value of your business is in property then you should have that independently valued by an appropriate property professional. If the value of your business is primarily in property (you are not selling goodwill) you should consider selling it through an estate agent.
We charge fees for valuing businesses.
We charge fees for listing businesses on our website, and for promoting businesses to potential purchasers. If you are using other advisors to market your business, they may list your business on our website by paying an up-front non-contingent listing fee.
If you engage us to sell your business we will charge you a pre-agreed commission on our successful sale of your business.
We sell businesses on a "No-Sale No-Fee" basis, in which case any listing and promotional activities are included within our success commission, and any up-front fee charged for valuation of a business is discounted against the final commission payable upon our successful sale of the business. We only operate on a "No-Sale No-Fee" basis when you have contracted with us to allow us to market and represent your business exclusively for a period of at least six months.
